My kids are grown(ish) but honestly whoever is in my life still needs to understand everything can be dropped/not responded to based on their needs. So it’s not just toddler phase. It truly is a lifetime (so far) commitment that’d make me question dating me.

100% agree with you. So far, I haven’t had anyone ever push back on this when dating. However, I’ve mindful about it when choosing who I date.
