That guy was right: Most of the time people don't want things pushed up the wazoo. Even people who enjoy it once in a while. I would put the figure much higher than 3%, but still. What bothers me more than misinformation in porn (no, they're not hoping a stranger will come by and "give them a cream pie") is the spectacularly misogynist manner in which the industry's leaders have chosen to frame it. Descriptions of the women are almost never words like "woman," "lover" or "girl": They are "sluts" and "whores," and they don't even fuck. They are "bred." This is Nazi shit.

I agree with you and the guy from this post; the porn industry has painted human sexuality and pleasure -especially as it pertains to women - in violence, misogyny and degradation. Thankfully there is ethical porn for those who enjoy watching it from the female lens. I'm reminded of a post I wrote called 'An Amateur' about my personal experience of porn. Maybe one of these days I'll pull it out from behind the paywall!

I love this. I have also found that mentioning that I write about sex/dating is an open invitation for men to start a conversation that often begins, "Can I ask you something?" as if a) I have suddenly turned into their free therapist and b) that I have nothing better to do than listen to them. Often, however, these conversations turn into a great article, such as this, so thank you for sharing.
