đ Substacker Who Stopped My Scroll
with her column; What the hell is âageing appropriatelyâ? Damned if you do, damned if you don't, as the endless trolling of Kate Beckinsale for not looking the way a 50 something woman "should"my đ passed on Notes
This Profile on Miranda July from the New Yorker led me to
đ buy her newest Novel All Fours straight from a box at the airport
đ§ notice that Sam Baker recently commented on another writer's post about this particular book. Interestingly, she had just recorded an interview with Miranda July for her podcast, The Shift. The episode, 'Miranda July on the unexpected wildness of ageing,' is a must-listen for anyone navigating through Perimenopause/Menopause, especially if they're feeling groundless or alone in the process
đ€ reflect on the time Iâve been spending pushing through a few books on my nightstand that I thought I should love, only to breeze through 'All Fours' in a day. Got me thinking, should readingâand relationshipsâbe effortless joyrides or a little bit of trudging? Do we really have to finish this just because we started??
One thing is FOR SURE- Iâve never resonated more deeply with a book than this one.
The Challengers
âYouâre not too old even if those kids about to have a threesome seem too young.â
Thatâs what I had to tell myself before going into The Challengers with my daughter- and a hundred other Gen Zers this last weekend in NY. Glad I did. Makes me think itâs okay spending $330 plus on the I Told Ya shirt by Loewe
Not to mention wearing it in front of my kids at just the right time âŠ. yah, Iâm really starting to think itâs worth it. (If you agree, you can upgrade to a paid subscription today and Iâll see that it go towards it đ„ł)

This episode of the Tim Ferriss show with Martha Beck- The Amazing and Brutal Results of Zero Lies for 365 Days, How to Do a Beginner âIntegrity Cleanse,â Lessons from Lion Trackers, and Novel Tactics for Reducing Anxiety
This smoothie from Love and Lemons is my mid day savior
âI had never been around someone who was a sex symbol in her youth, like a literal, mainstream sex symbol⊠I was kind of, like, âI think maybe I wasnât hot enough to have the loss be something that I have to work so hard to process.â â Miranda July
